This unique patented sanding material is an open mesh that contains thousands of small holes. It is an aluminum oxide grain resin bonded to a polyamide fabric which is durable and long lasting. It will clean easily by blowing it out with air, tapping it on a hard surface or by washing. It produces a very uniform sanding pattern and a perfectly smooth surface. Performs great sanding WET or GREEN wood, as well as dry wood and simply will not clog like other abrasives.

When sanding by hand, these squares can be more convenient than discs. Holding them however is sometimes awkward, so we made the pads below just for this purpose. The medium pad is for use with the lower grits for initial sanding. It has a Velcro face and should be used with the 3 x 4 protector pad to increase the life of the pad. When a lighter touch is desired, the soft pad attaches to the medium also using the protector pad. This is ideal for the finishing grits and very contoured applications. They are very comfortable in the hand and make hand sanding a breeze.

Comes in 3" X 4" sheets (80, 120, 180, 240, and 320 Grit)

This pad will assist the user in holding the Abranet sheets,
as it makes them easier to hold and helps insulate the user
from the heat generated during use.   It measures 3" x 4"
and is a 3/8"" thick, Firm density pad  with Velcro hook on
one face.  Simply attach the Abranet sheet directly to the pad
or by using a protector pad (ANP-3X4) in between for added
holding power.
Recommended for use with lower grits, or when "leveling" a surface.

Our protector pads serve two very important functions.
First, they are made with a special Velcro® hook material that provides a much more positive grip to the Abranet backing than any typical hook material can by itself. This prevents the abrasive from coming loose or off during the sanding process. Secondly, they prevent damage to the Velcro® face on your hand pad which can occur due to the open mesh design of the Abranet. Each pad measures 3" x 4".
