The Basic Solution™ is the little brother to The Sanding Solution™ . We designed this unit for those who turn only small bowls and vessels, and have no need to sand deep interior surfaces. It has the same dual-bearing, quick-change head as it’s older sibling, with the same great performance.  It also works great when sanding pen barrels eliminating the scratches left by hand sanding.

This most commonly purchased 16" accessory shaft for The Sanding Solution greatly expands the versatility of the tool.  By attaching the articulated head to this shaft, and using your handle of choice, it will allow you to easily sand the interior of any open vase or hollow vessel with a restricted opening up to 16" in depth.  This is accomplished by using the tool rest for support to safely posistion the sanding head while allowing for easy movement to sand the entire interior.  It literally goes where no other sanding tool has gone before.  For more information and photos, click the link above to download our users guide.

Our RED H & L disc holders are specifically for The Sanding Solution^TM and also for our Self-Centering Collet style Sanding Extensions.

Each of these tools utilizes a collet for holding the disc holders which is why they always run true.  The collet is machined precisely to accept these RED holders, and they should be reserved only for those tools, and never be used directly in a drill chuck.
Placing them in a drill chuck will cause small burrs on the shaft that could then damage the collet if forced in.  Experience tells us that it is more desireable to have the Red holders to avoid damaging the tool.

This three piece disc holder set is provided to compliment the 2" Medium density holder that comes standard with The Sanding Solution^TM.  It contains a 2" Soft density holder, a 3" Medium density holder, and a 3" Soft density holder. 

This adapter offers an additional way to utilize your investment in The Sanding Solution.  It is used in conjunction with either one of the aluminum handles for holding small turning tools 1/4" or less in diameter.  Typically, many small turning tools can be 10" to 12" in length, and have a wooden handle 12 to 14" in length.  All this length to turn items as small as a baseball is cumbersome at best.
Our solution is this:  Remove the tool from it's wooden handle and mount it in an aluminum handle using one this adapter.  The handle will "contain" 5 to 7" of the tool resulting in an overall length of tool and handle that is much more suited for small work, and can be easily removed for sharpening or exchanged with a different tool.

This is the same dual-bearing head used on The Sanding Solution.  It also comes with a 5/16" straight pin which can be used in place of the articulated joint.  As an option, you can also get our TSS-2500 adapter (shown below) allowing it to be used in any handle with a 5/8" bore of your choosing or even placed in a boring bar for sanding very large vessel interiors.

This adapter is used to mount the sanding head (with 5/16" shaft) in any handle with a 5/8" diameter opening.

This set combines the two adapters shown with a hollow 5" aluminum handle for dedicated use with small turning tools.  This allows you to eliminate long wooden handles that are awkward when using small tools for fine work.  Simply remove your wooden handles, (this also makes them easier to sharpen), and insert the tool through the adapter and into the hollow handle, thus giving you a shorter, more compact tool that is more friendly when doing small turnings and detail.
